Krabi: Tiger Cave Temple, Emerald Pool and Hot Springs Tour

2.Tiger Cave Temple, Emerald Pool and Hot Springs Tour

★★★★★★★★★★4.8 · 3,616 reviews · 9 hours - 570 minutes · from $59

Spend nine hours exploring Krabi’s freshwater pools, hot springs, and Tiger Cave Temple in a small group of up to nine. Your English-speaking guide, such as Arun, Tan, Oly, or AB, manages the timing, explains the forest and temples, and often takes photos. Expect swimming, a local lunch stop, and roughly 1,200 steep temple steps.

“The whole day was brilliant from beginning to end. Our guide AB was easy to understand, full of knowledge and happy to answer any questions regardless if it was about the place or something else such as the nature around us. The only part I would say could possibly be a downfall would be the 1200 plus steps up to the Buddha. If you suffer with vertigo or are not fit and healthy you won't make it up ther. A lot of the steps are very high and extremely steep. There are plenty of toilets and wonderful eating and drinking spots. A great day out”

“Overall the trip was great! We are a family of four with 2 teenagers, and had a lovely day. We were taken by minibus from our hotel to the meeting point where we transferred onto a bus after a light snack and drink that was provided. Micki our tour guide explained that we would pick up a few more people on the way to the Emerald Pool. He explained why we would do the trip in a particular order due to the weather forecast of potential rain in the morning, as it could affect the quality of the other 2 stops (Hot springs get cooler in rainfall, and the steps…”

“This was a good way to see some of the interior of Krabi, away from the busy coastal areas. The hot springs and Emerald pool were not that exciting in themselves, but the journey there was interesting and the walk through the rainforest to the Emerald pool was pretty cool. The Tiger Cave temple was also only ok if it were not for the 1261 step climb up to the top of the mountain for the amazing views and to see big Buddha. This is not for the faint hearted, it is very steep and made more difficult with the heat. Bring plenty of water! The lunch provided on this…”

Guides such as Otto, Timm, Tookey, and AD are praised for friendly service, but the steep 1,260-step climb and extra admission fees require planning.

“Great value for money, and saw places when they were not as crowded so well timed for sightseeing. A bit too early for lunch as before 12, so you might want to have light breakfast! There’s over 1200 steps to tiger cave temple so brace yourself as it requires some stamina, but will be worth it!”
